Information is called in to our 24-hour anonymous tips line (352) 372-7867 and is forwarded to the investigating law enforcement agency for follow-up. If the information leads to an arrest, Crime Stoppers pays!

Crime Stoppers Anonymous Tip Submission Explained

  1. Tipster Contacts
    Crime Stoppers and leaves an anonymous tip. No identifying info is collected or stored.
  2. Assigned Tip Number
    The tipster is assigned and given a tip number.
  3. Double Check
    The tip is scrubbed by Crime Stoppers to ensure no identifying information is found in the tip
  4. You’ve Got Mail
    The tip is then sent to your local law enforcement agency.
  5. Arrest
    If your tip leads to an arrest the law enforcement will report back to Crime Stoppers.
  6. Reward
    Crime Stoppers assess the tip that led to the arrest and calculates the amount of the tipster’s reward, up to $1,000.
  7. Payday
    Tipster receives a confidential ID number and the address of the local bank where the tip money can be anonymously picked up.
  8. Safe Neighborhoods
    We all sleep better knowing one more criminal is behind bars.
